Friedrich von Schönburg studied Hospitality Management at the renowned École Hôtelière de Lausanne. After graduating, he moved to London and began working at the COMO Metropolitan Hotel, one of COMO Hotels and Resorts' flagship city hotels. He then joined the team at The Savoy and was involved in organizing the hotel's grand reopening. Three years later, he took on the role of Director of Guest Relations, leading the team at Rosewood London, the first European property for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. Having successfully enabled exceptional guest experiences at Rosewood London, he received an offer from the prestigious Maybourne Group to lead two of the group's award-winning hotels, The Connaught and Claridge's. After ten years in London, Friedrich von Schönburg moved to Spain as General Manager of El Palace Barcelona. There, he is driving the repositioning of the historic hotel, which offers exceptional and innovative experiences for its local and international guests as one of the world's leading luxury hotels.
