The native of Münster has been in Africa for over 15 years. In 2013, together with philanthropist Jochen Zeitz, he opened the Segera Retreat, a luxury resort in a 50,000-hectare private nature reserve, which has become internationally known as an award-winning eco-luxury safari retreat in Kenya, East Africa. As a founding member of The Long Run and under Zeitz's guidance, Kozany pioneered The Long Run's 4C philosophy at Segera, achieving true sustainability through a holistic balance of Conservation, Community, Culture, and Commerce. Through this approach, Segera has become a driving force in promoting sustainable thinking and action, setting a new global standard for sustainable tourism.
