Song Saa Private Island was opened in 2012 by Rory and Melita Hunter on two idyllic islands as Cambodia's first luxury private island resort. Song Saa means „The Sweethearts“ in Khmer. The resort's 27 exclusive villas were designed by Melita Hunter herself. The spa team works with local healers to apply traditional Khmer healing methods. Couples can celebrate a Buddhist wedding. The associated „Song Saa Foundation“ is committed to preserving the archipelago and promoting the local population. Village excursions to the neighboring island are among the highlights and allow guests to gain insight into the Foundation's work.
