Susanne Gräfin von Moltke has been a member of the executive board of the hotel and restaurant association Relais & Châteaux since November 2020 and is looking forward to the new role: „I am very pleased to be able to actively shape the direction of our association and its strategic cornerstones as a board member, and to also represent Germany and the entire German-speaking region in this select circle.“ Susanne Gräfin von Moltke has known the hotel and restaurant association for many years: She and her husband own the Relais & Châteaux Gut Steinbach Hotel & Chalets, a 50-hectare refuge in Reit im Winkl in the Bavarian Alps. Gut Steinbach was extensively renovated by the Graf von Moltke family and reopened in 2011 with a high standard of holistic sustainability, and has been continuously developed since then, for example with the new chalet village in 2017. The sustainable approach is reflected, for example, in the award-winning cuisine, with about 80 percent of the food used coming from a maximum distance of 80 kilometers. Since 2016, Susanne Gräfin von Moltke was an active delegate for the entire German delegation of currently 19 members. Before moving into the hotel industry in 2013, she had a career in the advertising industry and managed several German agencies at a subsidiary of J. Walter Thompson (WPP), where she advised major brands in the beauty and fashion sectors.
