WS Rwanda

It is estimated that today there are only about 1,000 mountain gorillas left, most of them living in Rwanda. The Volcanoes National Park in the north of the country invites guests to unforgettable encounters with the gentle giants during an exciting gorilla trek. Less well known, but equally fascinating, is the vast landscape and abundant wildlife of Akagera National Park – where lions, leopards, and buffalo roam.

  • The award-winning Wilderness Safaris Bisate Lodge sits in the middle of Volcanoes National Park; its mere 6 suites nestle on the slopes of an eroded crater, overlooking two huge extinct volcanoes, Bisoke and Karisimbi.
  • Wilderness Safaris’ Magshi Camp, located in Akagera National Park, invites you on a classic East African safari. Magashi is home to rich wildlife that includes elephants, lions, leopards, black rhinos and many more.
