Jens Kozany
General Manager of Segera Retreats in Kenya
German born Hotelier Jens Kozany arrived in Africa 15 years ago. In 2013, he and the philanthropist Jochen Zeitz opened Segera Retreat, a luxury resort in a 50,000-hectare private nature reserve that has risen to international fame as an award-winning eco-luxury safari retreat in Kenya, East Africa. As a Founding Member of The Long Run and under Zeitz’s guidance, Kozany pioneered The Long Run’s 4C philosophy through Segera, achieving true sustainability through a holistic balance of Conservation, Community, Culture and Commerce. It is through this approach that Segera has become a driving force in promoting sustainable thinking and practice, setting a new standard for sustainable tourism worldwide.
